On Sunday, June 25th at 6pm, we will be partnering with Tennessee Kids Belong to host a foster care informational gathering with a Q&A from a panel of members who are actively involved in the foster care community. Members of the panel will include DCS personnel, foster/adoptive parents, and leaders of foster care support organizations.
We want to bring awareness to the foster care crisis in our community. There are so few foster homes in our community, with such a high need for them. Even more so, there is a desperate need of support to those already in the foster community so they can continue to provide a safe home for these children.
We will be discussing topics such as how to become a foster parent, real issues foster parents face, and how to provide practical support to those already involved. We would love to have you join and help us spread awareness!
This is a public event; anyone in the community is welcome to attend.
Below is a link to the TN Kids Belong Event Brite page for this event, if you would like to register or get more info. However, registration is NOT required to attend.
